What is honesty? Honesty means telling the truth and being fair and just in conduct. Considered as a virtue, it is valued in almost every country and every culture. As a proverb goes,“Honesty is the best policy.”For one thing, if you want to be trusted and respected, you must be honest. A liar is always looked down upon by the people around. For another, if you want to succeed in your work, honesty is the first quality you should have. Therefore, no matter what dream you have,you should be honest to make it come true.

Reading doesn’t just mean recognizing each word on the page: it means taking in the information, digesting(消化) it and incorporating (吸收) it into oneself just as one digests a sandwich and makes it a part of himself. The goal is to bring the information back to life, not just to treat it as dead facts on paper. Reading and writing cannot be completely separated from each other; in fact, the aim of reading is to express the information you have got from the text. People who can’t express an idea after reading a text is just as ineffective as those who haven't read it at all.

Learning English has been almost a painful experience for me, one that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Not only did learning English teach me the value of hard work, but also gave me insights(領悟) into another culture. The most exciting result of having learned English is that I am able to communicate with many more people than before. Talking with people is my favorite activity, so the newly learned language allows me to meet new people, participate in conversations, and form new and unforgettable friendships.

專升本英語翻譯怎么做

注意搭配

這里的搭配主要指一些固定搭配，如“學習知識”不能用"learn knowledge"，而必須用"acquire knowledge"，"concern"后面的介詞必須跟"over"而不是"of",這些都是我們要好好學習的地方，可以通過日常積累，比如看英文報刊等等。

注意時態

根據一些調查，發現同學們考試翻譯時，容易一看到中文就馬上翻譯成英語，連前面的句子信息都省略不看，在此，我非常不贊同這個做法，前面的句子或短語包含的不只是信息也有時態之類的，如果直接上手寫，那么也就是等于直接放棄這最好拿的得分點。

學會變通詞匯

很多同學會碰到這樣一件囧事，就是忽然間想不起一個詞對應的英文單詞是什么。不用擔心，我們可以另辟蹊徑，很多詞匯是不止一個意思的，這時候我們不會某一個單詞的話，可以通過其他的表達方式將其表述出來。一種方法是試著用幾個詞去解釋這個單詞，二是找個相近的英文單詞來代替。

選詞要貼切

翻譯時選詞要注意語境和文章的文體，每個詞在上下文中用得恰當、自然、和諧。英語中有許多同義詞，平時要多注意同義詞在不同上下文中的用法，因為即使是同義詞或近義詞在意義或色彩上甚至用法上也不是完全一樣的。

用詞要通俗易懂

用詞要規范，盡量使用書面語言，少用俚語、生僻詞或陳詞濫調，以免影響譯文效果。
