美國的MPH專業

約翰霍普金斯大學Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins 是公衛專業里面的NO.1 , JHU的公衛學院設置的專業分支比較細致, 即使已經有流行病學這個分支, 但是學校還是另外設有把微生物技術結合了免疫學的方向。JHU的School of Public Health包括公衛的傳統Department，例如： Biostatistics、Environmental Health Sciences、Epiemiology、Health，Behavior an Society、Health Policy an Management、International Health、Mental Health、Population, Family an Reprouctive Health。除此之外，JHU的School of Public Health還有兩個特別的分支：Department: Biochemistry an Molecular Biology、Department of Molecular Microbiology an Immunology。

JHU School of Public Health的大部分專業對托福的要求是IBT100，GRE require但是沒有注明具體分數要求，成績單需要WES認證。JHU的Public Health不需要通過SOPHAS來申請。

JHU的學費也是貴的出名，公衛學院的tuition fee 是JH Full-time tuition: $8,736 per term，一年有五個TERM，這樣算下來一年要將近5W刀!!

JHU School of Public Health的Doctoral Program有PhD、The Doctor of Public Health(DrPH)、The Doctor of Science(ScD)。

JHU School of Public Health的Master Program有The Master of Health Aministration (MHA)、The Master of Health Science (MHS)、The Master of Public Health (MPH)、The Master of Science (ScM) 。

School of Public Health at University of Pittsburgh設置的Department包括公衛最常見的Epiemiology、Biostatistics、Health Policy & Management、Behavioral an Community Health Science、Environmental an Occupational Health，同JHU相似，它還有兩個特別的分支Human Genetics與Infectious Diseases an Microbiology。

從School of Public Health at University of Pittsburgh的錄取要求上來看，Pittsburgh大部分Department公衛的MPH，PhD，DrPH學位是需要GRE成績的，而 MSc與MHA(Master of Health Aministration)對GRE不做要求，除了MSc in Epiemiology必須要求GRE。

IBT要求是80 for Amission，但是如果registration at GSPH需要IBT 100，如果沒到100 must be teste for English proficiency by the University’s English Language Institute (ELI)。

Pittsburgh的公共衛生學院是一定要通過SOPHAS來申請的，就是說成績單和GT分數要寄到SOPHAS。

華盛頓大學的公共衛生學院創建于1 9 7 0 年， 目前在校學生1,003人，其中國際學生102人。學院擁有全職教授198人。學院目前設有生物統計學(Biostatistics)、傳染病學(Epiemiology)、世界衛生 (Global Health)、衛生服務(Health S e r v i c e s ) 、環境與職業健康科學 (Environmental an Occupational Health Sciences)五個系，另外還有衛 生管理(Health Aministration)、婦幼 保健(Maternal an Chil Health)、營養科學(Nutritional Sciences)、病理學(Pathobiology)和公共衛生遺傳學 (Public Health Genetics)五個領域內的跨學科研究。

明尼蘇達大學雙子城分校公共衛生學院創建于1944年，目前在校學生680人，全職教授近100人。學院下設生物統計學 (Biostatistics)、環境衛生科學(Environmental Health S c i e n c e s ) 、傳染病學與社區衛生(Epiemiology an Community Heal th)、衛生政策與管理(Heal th Policy an Management)四個系。

大部分被CEPH(公共衛生教育協會)認證的公共衛生學院申請都是使用SOPHAS中心的，但也有學校是有自己的單獨申請系統。SOPHAS網站統計了每所公共衛生學院的專業分支及學位設置。系統每年9月開通下一年的申請，但一定要記住每個公共衛生學院都有自己的截止日期，所以盡量早申請。所有材料寄送到SOPHAS中心后，需要大約4個星期時間審核并寄送到相應的學校。
